Samantha Morris of New London has won the North Carolina Dressage and Combined Training Association’s Horse of the Year for the last three years, 2014-16.

Last year she won Reserve NCDCTA Horse of the Year 2016 in the Novice division and was second runner-up Horse of the Year 2016 in the Beginner Novice division.

Morris is a 26-year-old visual arts teacher at Jesse Carson High School in China Grove. She has been an avid horse enthusiast since the age of 5.

Morris prides herself in her ability to see potential in a horse and train them for the equestrian sport of Eventing.
