How to Use A Sizzix Machine with Dies

Possibly one of the pioneers of the die-cutting industry, Sizzix has been around since 2000, under Ellison (the parent company of Sizzix). The company is really all about becoming the die-cutting company for everyone. Sizzix aims to empower the individuals to express their personal creativity through a wide range of innovative products. These range from scrapbooking, cardmaking, rubberstamping and other forms of papercrafting to fashion, home décor, and more. Sizzix has won awards such: Creating Keepsakes Readers Choice Awards for “Best Die-Cut Shapes”, “Best Die-Cut Equipment”, and “Embossing Stencils”.

To name a few of their well-known products, they are: Sizzix Big Shot, Sizzix Eclips, Sizzix Sidekick, and their extensive range of Sizzix dies. A sizzix machine is a wonderful tool that can be used to create stunning die cuts.

It has a lever and a sliding cutting mat. You can place a piece of card with the die facing down onto the cutting mat underneath the pressure point. Then, by simply pulling down the lever, you will have a die cut produced! Usually, the cut is perfect and precise. You can also adapt the Sizzix machine to additional templates called sizzlits, in which the converter is easy to install. You can purchase them, giving you access to a lot more dies that are available.

The Sizzix machine comes with full instructions in its manual, so you can be sure to find them really easy to read and understand. The machine is sturdy, thus stopping it from moving around when in use.

As for the dies, you can either purchase or make them yourself. The dies that you can purchase for your sizzix machine can vary in size but they usually come in a neat little box that can be stored easily. As for the dies you produce from your Sizzix machine, they can be used for embellishments, toppers and many other things.

One of the most popular sizzix dies is the alphabets set. Even though you may feel that they are a big expenditure, once you purchased the dies you will be able to cut any word you wish. Hence, this will really come in handy for scrap booking and card making.

For those of us who have used a Sizzix machine for a few years, you would probably find this as a great buy, something that will be used over and over again. I personally prefer Sizzix Big Shot because it is by far the most versatile and value for money, in my opinion. From a family’s standpoint, it is also something you can use with your children. By involving your children in scarp booking activity with…
