The first World Golf Championship event of 2017 is upon us.
The WGC-Mexico Championship debuts at Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City. This is the first time that this course has been played on either major tour, PGA or European. The par-71 course, which used to host the Mexican Open, will play at 7,330 yards.
Remember, elevation will play a major factor this week. Mexico City, at 7,349 feet above sea level, has the eighth highest altitude among the world’s capital cities.
